Square & Rectangular Cartridge Heaters
These heaters are specially developed for resin sand shell mould heating. At Present D-shape or cylindrical shape cartridge heaters are used. Elliptical shape of D-shape heater gives only 2/3 line contact with the surrounding medium resulting poor heat transfer. Square heaters gives good & more surface contact per liner inch than D-shape & cylindrical cartridge heaters, resulting greater heat transfer to the surrounding medium.
